Nick，

Hi, I am just randomly dropping by your site by hk.yahoo.com searching for the english translation title for 大長今. anyways, saw your blog, interesting enough for me to read on and everything. I've been to Korea (a little more than a week free trip) when I was a junior in high school I was one of the lucky chosen ones as a student ambassador from the Korean American Society and I disagree with you on the history of Korean cuisine culture. I learned so much since and I know there is a lot to it if you actually do the research or have at least a bit of interest in Korean food you will amaze of how much you've mistaken of korean food. I mean, it's ok for you not to like the taste of Korean food or simply just not a big fan of it but you can't deny the fact that every culture have their very own unique tradition and history of their cuisine culture.
Oh, and sorry if I didn't write musch anything in Chinese. I can read Chinese but I don't know how to write Chinese that well. (yes, it's a shame)

please let me drop a personal comment on Japanese taste...
(Shiso leaf + pickled plums) is the most authentic Japanese taste, I think. Please try it some time. You can try to put a little bit of sushi rice with the Shiso leaf and then put a little bit of pickled plum on the rice and then gently wrap it - it's heaven on earth. Another authentic Japanese taste would be the Nattoo 納豆 - not everyone can stand its smell/taste.

Dear Duke of Aberdeen, we have very close taste! I'm meeting some deadlines this week, otherwise, I'll start my blog on films, music, ...etc.

Please excuse me for posting in English since it takes me more time to type in Chinese.
