Not just Yahoo!, Microsoft is also engaged in helping the Chinese gov't to tighten surfing accessibility online. Users in the mainland won't be able to look up words like "freedom" and "democracy." This raises some questions in the United States, saying that since these US companies are operating on an international level, should they be abiding US laws or laws from whatever countries they do business in.
