Have you ever read his "David Copperfield"? The scene in which Dickens describes the last time David sees his mother is very moving. I shed much tears as a result and is never able to reread that section again. If anyone is interested in reading Oliver Twist, please go to the following link. I think they found the right director to do this movie, Polanski is certainly dark and arty enough to master this literature legend.
