Watching movie is so expensive here! 80-120 for a ticket. Don’t know if it is normal price or Christmas special price. The movies shown here are roughly the same of HK’s, so I don’t really miss anything.

讀過你的文章，分析得深入，也同意你的觀點。我把它加了入延伸閱讀。

書是一兩年前看的，細節記得不太清楚了。電影的確比較平面和簡化，但這也是很難避免（印象中原著好像是另外有位越共的Mr Heng叫Fowler選一邊站的，但在電影中這句話交了給為Fowler的當地助手Hinh，用少了一個角色）。以荷里活製作而言，已算很難得，至少尚算忠於原著，演員的表現亦不俗。

在上海，要看電影有香港那樣多另類選擇嗎？有沒有意外驚喜？

Hello Duke! Thank Heaven I can still visit your blog in Shanghai! I like The Quiet American a lot too. The movie is not bad, but if you have read the book, you would certainly find the movie is not sufficient enough to express the ideas of the book.
I have a review on this movie in my blog (but I cannot visit blogger here), if you have time, you might want to have a look.

因為鬧市炸彈慘劇是Pyle攪出來的好事，阿興勸Fowler引他出來，讓Pyle扶植出來的第三勢力收拾他。（這不是911的縮影嗎？）

某人（好像是高達）曾說，電影創作者有洞悉未來的能力，此片的內容跟原來發行時間，是作者能知未來，是巧合，還是歷史不斷在重復，創作者只不過用其他形把她表達出來？很奇妙。

另外，我買了 18/12《黑炮事件》的票，重映應該看不到，有誰想接收我的票？因為我不想特地去藝術中心退票，天寒天凍啊…
